Book
Fair: Volunteers will be needed to assist with staffing the book
fair. This event will be held once yearly.
Concessions: The PTSA will be partnering with the JHS Athletic
Department and the parent group Class of 2009 in the staffing of the
school concessions. Concession shifts range in time from 2 to 3 hours.
The Athletic Dept will receive 50% of all profits. If you have a
Student Athlete, please consider supporting this volunteer opportunity.
Staff Appreciation: This group plans and coordinates events such
as lunches and small appreciation gifts for the school staff throughout
the year. This is a creative and fun way to get involved at the school.
Newsletter: Helping with folding and taping the Wolf Tracks in
preparation for mailing. We hope to be able to publish the Wolf Tracks
5 times this coming school year. This is a great way to meet up with a
group of friends for a couple of hours, have a chat and help out.
Flamingo Flocking: Helping in the delivery and retrieval of
flocks of flamingos from the front yard of recipients of the gift of
flocking. This is a fun and quick fundraiser which will be held in the
fall and spring.
General Volunteer: Volunteers are needed throughout the year to
help with a variety of projects as the need arises.
School Volunteer Opportunities
Classroom Activities: Assist teachers when help is requested in
the classroom. This is on a casual basis.
Culminating Exhibition Panelist: Be a panelist to observe senior
student presentations of their Culminating Exhibition (senior
projects). This takes place near the end of each semester.
Field Trip Chaperone: Attend field trips when help is requested.
